FAQ
Frequently asked questions
- How do I become an IPO member?
- Membership is open to Israeli nationals, Israeli-Americans, and members of the broader Jewish community in South Florida. Attend any chapter event as a guest, then speak with the coordinator — or apply online at info@iposfl.org.
- Is there an annual membership fee?
- Yes. Annual dues vary by chapter and member type. Fees support programming, venues, and educational initiatives. IPO is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — contributions beyond dues may be tax-deductible.
- Which chapter should I join?
- We recommend the chapter nearest to where you live or work: Riviera (Aventura), Miami (North Miami Beach), Boca (Boca Raton and PBC), or Forum Nashim (ladies, South Florida-wide). You're welcome to visit any chapter before deciding.
- What types of events does IPO host?
- Monthly chapter meetings, cultural evenings, film screenings, speaker series, Jewish holiday celebrations, business networking dinners, Hebrew language classes, and community service days. See the full calendar on our Events page.
- How do I update my public directory listing?
- Members control their public visibility. Log into the member portal → Profile Settings → toggle 'Show me in the public directory.' Changes take effect within 24 hours. Need help? Email info@iposfl.org.
- Do you offer Hebrew language programming?
- Yes. IPO runs conversational Hebrew classes for all levels at chapter venues across South Florida. Check the Events page for current session schedules.
