Ofer Tamir

Ofer was born in Israel in 1956 and served four years in the Israeli Air Force, specializing in communications and weapons-guidance systems. He later worked as a foreign-currency manager at Bank Leumi in Herzliya Pituach. After immigrating to the U.S. in 1984, he became CEO of Delta Knitwear, leading its growth into one of the largest women’s sweater manufacturers in the country, supplying major chains including Dillard’s, Saks, Macy’s, JCPenney, and Sears. At the same time, he built real-estate holdings across Florida, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Costa Rica, and Israel. In 2015, he co-founded Florida Prime Acquisitions, creating real-estate funds that managed over $30 million in South Florida assets. He later co-founded Fuse Group, which developed debt and real-estate funds for large financial institutions, reaching over $200 million in assets under management by 2020, when he sold his stake. Committed to community leadership, he and his wife, Denise, co-founded the American Friends of Meir Medical Center in 2001, where he continues to serve on the national board. He also chaired the Riviera Parliament (2013–2022) and now serves as its President. In addition, he sits on the boards of the Michael-Ann Russell JCC and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, where he was the founding Chair of its Israeli Division, dedicated to strengthening ties between Israeli Americans and the broader Jewish community.
